West Shore Home® Provides Charlotte Area Desert Storm Veteran with a New Shower through West Shore for Warriors Initiative
West Shore Home®, one of the fastest growing home remodeling companies in the nation, is leading up to Veterans Day by providing deserving veterans with a new shower. In total, the company is gifting eight new showers to select veterans nationwide.
In the Charlotte region, U.S. Army Veteran Kevin O’Bannion of Waxhaw is a recipient of one of the company’s 2022 West Shore for Warriors bath installations. He served in Operation Desert Storm where he helped construct the first USO base in Saudi Arabia and transported critical materials and weapons through enemy territory. He received the Liberation of Kuwait Medal with a Bronze Star Cluster and retired as a Corporal.
West Shore Home removed O’Bannion’s old tub and replaced it with a new, modern walk-in shower with a teak shower seat and grab bars for safety. The project was designed to provide him with better accessibility and safety within the shower, while giving his bathroom a modern upgrade.
