West Shore Home Donates 22,000+ School Supplies to United Way’s Stuff the Bus Campaign

Mechanicsburg, Pa. – West Shore Home, one of the nation’s fastest growing home remodeling brands, donated 22,572 school supplies nationwide in support the United Way’s Stuff the Bus campaign.

The company launched a month-long campaign across its 37 branches with a goal of collecting 10,000 supplies. Employees all over the country donated out of their own pockets, collecting everything from pencils, crayons, markers, glue sticks, and sanitizing products. They more than doubled their goal, ensuring thousands of children are ready to start off the school year successfully.

“Every time we put a challenge in front of our teammates, they never fail to amaze me,” said B.J. Werzyn, Pres. and CEO of West Shore Home. “These supplies will help thousands of families across the country not have to worry about the financial strain that can come with buying school supplies.”

According to the National Retail Federation (NRF), families with children in elementary through high school are expected to spend a record-high $890 on back-to-school supplies in 2023.

West Shore Home’s mission is to Bring Happiness to Every Home®. That also applies to the communities they serve. The company’s Myrtle Beach, S.C. branch went above and beyond by completely funding the school supplies required for every student in a 1st and 2nd grade at Pee Dee Elementary School. They also donated additional supplies to their teacher.
