Mechanicsburg, Pa. – West Shore Home, one of the fastest growing home remodeling companies in the nation, is proud to honor Retired U.S. Air Force (USAF) Maj. James Baker with a new, safety-enhanced shower as part of its West Shore for Warriors® initiative. Maj. Baker also served in the U.S. Naval Reserves prior to enlisting in the Air Force. In total, he served his country for nearly 30 years.
Maj. Baker earned the prestigious Distinguished Flying Cross in the Vietnam War. It is one of the highest awards for heroism while participating in an aerial fight.
Maj. Baker also dedicated his post-military career to his community. He was an English teacher, football, track and soccer coach at Big Spring High School in Newville. He served as a South Middleton Twp. Supervisor and helped create the Meals on Wheels program in his hometown of Boiling Springs.
The new shower provided by West Shore Home will greatly enhance Maj. Baker’s day to day life. He has health issues related to Agent Orange exposure in Vietnam. The new shower will provide peace of mind and reduce his risk of injury in the bathroom.
