Dallas Veteran Gifted With Updated Bath for Veterans Day
Annual Baths for the Brave initiative aims to improve the lives of our nation’s veterans
Nov. 4, 2021 – Mechanicsburg, Pa. – West Shore Home, the fastest growing home remodeling company in the United States, is marking Veterans Day by providing new showers or baths to deserving veterans nationwide. In the Dallas region, U.S. Marine Corps veteran Angel Tovar of Mesquite is the recipient of one of 2021’s Baths for the Brave.
Baths for the Brave is a partnership among multiple home improvement companies nationwide. The goal is to improve the lives of veterans who are disabled or have experienced hardships that prevent them from completing everyday tasks such as bathing. West Shore Home removed Tovar’s old cast iron tub and gave his bathroom an updated look by replacing it with a modern alabaster white tub and marble look walls.

Tovar is a Purple Heart recipient. He served in the Middle East, including Iraq and Kuwait.
“Our soldiers made such a powerful impact in the hometowns in Iraq. We supplied them with food, water and a safe environment,” said Tovar.
After serving his country, Tovar was a truck driver for nearly a decade, and now works in commercial construction. His co-workers nominated him for Baths for the Brave.
“It’s rewarding knowing that my teammates thought of me in such high regard. It feels amazing.”
