A Holistic Approach to Wellness: West Shore Home Donates Over 8,000 School Supplies to United Way’s Stuff the Bus Campaign

You might be thinking “What does holistic wellness have to do with a community donation?” The short answer is everything! In order to have healthy employees, a company needs happy employees. At West Shore Home, we not only strive to have the happiest employees and create lasting relationships with the community, but also to have the most exceptional teammates. That starts by helping our employees be well-rounded in all aspects of health.

The United Way Stuff the Bus Campaign ensures all children, especially those in need, have the proper supplies to start the school year. West Shore Home strives to be a good community partner, so we set a donation goal of 5,000 items across our branches nationwide. In true West Shore fashion, we turned it into a friendly competition. And compete we did! Corporatewide, we raised 8,700 items, from pencils and crayons to glue sticks and scissors to be donated to schools nationwide. We are thrilled that we far surpassed our goal!

“West Shore Home is proud to support the United Way. Through this initiative we were able to build upon a holistic approach to wellness. Most people think of wellness as health and fitness only. However, we know that one’s personal wellness is created within and often begins with achieving personal satisfaction and fulfillment from our work,” said West Shore Home Wellness Coordinator Tasha Christie. “When employees enjoy their workplace and are enthusiastic about coming to work, they will maintain their health, and miss fewer days in the office. Events such as this that bring happiness to our communities is just one way we create the holistic approach to wellness.”

We are blown away at the support and participation for this campaign. West Shore Home is proud to have employees that strive to #BeGreatatWhateverWeDo and #DotheRightThingAlways!
