West Shore Home Donates $4,000 to Honor Flight of West Central Florida in Support of Military Veterans

TAMPA, Fla. (June 12, 2019) – West Shore Home is proud to announce its donation of $4,000 to Honor Flight of West Central Florida, which supported the organization’s 38th free flight for military veterans to travel to Washington, D.C., and visit the war memorials dedicated in their honor.

“We are thankful for West Shore Home’s generous donation to support this important trip and celebration,” said April Dennis Currie, president of Honor Flight of West Central Florida. “These veterans have made tremendous sacrifices for our country, so it is heartwarming to see companies like West Shore Home support these brave men and women.”

On June 11, 68 veterans departed from St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport on an Allegiant charter that landed in Washington, D.C. The goal of the cost-free day trip was to honor America’s veterans for the brave sacrifices they have made for our country.

The veterans returned to St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport at approximately 8:30 p.m. for a special “Welcome Home” celebration. The event was open to the public and allowed the local community to greet the veterans and thank them for their service.

“We are touched by what Honor Flight of West Central Florida does for veterans,” said B. J. Werzyn, founder and CEO of West Shore Home. “While a donation of any size would never be enough to repay what these men and women have done for our country, West Shore Home is honored to support veterans in any way possible.”

West Shore Home’s philanthropic mission is to continuously support various veterans groups through corporate donations, sponsorships and companywide events. West Shore Home is happy to be able to lend a hand to the thousands of U.S. veterans who selflessly served our country.
