West Shore Home Tackles Hunger by Donating $1,000 to Local Food Banks for Every Penn State Football Sack in October

Mechanicsburg, Pa. – West Shore Home®, one of the fastest growing home remodeling companies in the nation is donating $1,000 to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (CPFB) for every sack Penn State University football records in October. With food prices rising, this will play a crucial role on helping the CPFB provide nutritious meals to the more than 200,000 people they serve each month.

Through this unique partnership, West Shore Home has the potential to provide upwards of 50,000 meals throughout Central Pennsylvania.

“We’ll be cheering with the rest of Penn State Nation this month and are deeply grateful to West Shore Home for its generosity,” said Joe Arthur, CEO of the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank. “With its $1,000 donated for each sack made by Penn State, we are able to provide our neighbors in need 4,000 healthy meals, including fresh produce, milk and eggs, and meat, in our 27-county service territory, including the more than 700 families served each month at the State College Food Bank, located only a short drive from Beaver Stadium.”

The Nittany Lions defense is ranked third in the nation in sacks per game (4.0). Penn State will play University of Massachusetts (UMASS), Ohio State University and Indiana University in October.
