West Shore Home Gifts Atlanta Area Veteran with New Shower in Honor of Veterans Day
Annual Baths for the Brave initiative aims to improve the lives of our nation’s veterans
Nov. 10, 2021 – Mechanicsburg, Pa. – West Shore Home, the fastest growing home remodeling company in the United States, is marking Veterans Day by providing new showers or baths to deserving veterans nationwide. In the Atlanta region, U.S. Army veteran Mike Harris of Fairburn is the recipient of one of 2021’s Baths for the Brave.
Baths for the Brave is a partnership among multiple home improvement companies nationwide. The goal is to improve the lives of veterans who are disabled or have experienced hardships that prevent them from completing everyday tasks such as bathing.

Harris served in the U.S. Army from 1983 to 1989. He was injured during a training incident in Germany when his gas tanker went off an embankment and rolled over several times.
“The accident changed my life and still affects me to this day,” said Harris.
West Shore Home gifted Harris a brand-new, walk-in shower with additional grab bars for safety.
“This means freedom and self-help,” said Harris. “This will allow me to have more
self-independence. This is a wonderful thing that West Shore Home is doing for me. I’m speechless and very appreciative.”
